Contest Frequently Asked Questions
Freedom to Switch Offer is only available to new customers consuming less than 250,000 kWh or 2,500 GJ per year who have entered into an agreement with ATCOenergy for the supply of natural gas, electricity, or both to their home or business at a guaranteed (fixed) rate by March 31, 2019. Customers will receive credit for 50% off their electricity and natural gas consumption for November and December 2019. Credits have no cash value and only apply to energy supplied at a guaranteed rate. ATCOenergy will not substitute, exchange, or refund any credit. This offer excludes Green Energy Rates and any other applicable fees, costs, charges and expenses. All customers are free to purchase natural gas services from the default supply provider or from a retailer of their choice and to purchase electricity services from the regulated rate provider or from a retailer of their choice. The delivery of natural gas and electricity to you is not affected by your choice. If you change who you purchase natural gas services or electricity services from, you will continue receiving natural gas and electricity from the distribution company in your service area. For a current list of retailers you may choose from, visit www.ucahelps.gov.ab.ca or call 310-4822 (toll free in Alberta).
